Staff Accountant

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Details:

Monday - Friday

8:30am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare monthly fuel tax returns.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Adhere to internal controls and compliance standards.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis is a plus.
