Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field is preferred.
Experience: Three years of experience in accounting or related experience is required. Six (6) months of on-the-job training is required to perform the job satisfactorily.
Job Knowledge: Must possess a good understanding of the Terms and Conditions of service, and policies and procedures concerning consumer accounting. A good knowledge of accounting is required to maintain consumer accounts in balance with general ledger accounts. Must possess proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Supervisory experience a plus.
Abilities and Skills: Ability to manage consumer billing and collections accurately and effectively, as required. Must possess the ability to maintain controls for consumer accounting, deposits to banks, including bank drafts and electronic data transfers. Must possess the ability the ability to use a personal computer. The ability to discuss and resolve consumer concerns and maintain good consumer relations is essential. Skilled in motivating people is necessary. The ability to express oneself professionally in writing and verbally is essential.
Working Conditions: Usual office conditions. Some irregular hours may be required.
