- Assist with the monthly closing process to include preparation of journal entries and balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of the Accounting System
- Provide support in preparing accurate financial statements and related reporting in a timely manner
- Assist with supporting external auditors and field exams
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to prioritize, successfully complete multiple tasks with attention to detail, and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, International Business or related field with a strong understanding of GAAP
- 3+years of comprehensive accounting, auditing, payroll and tax experience required
- 3+ years of experience as an Accountant supporting a Government Contracting Firm
- Thorough understand of FAR, CAS, JTR, FTR
- Technical proficiency with Deltek Costpoint accounting software (Costpoint 8 preferred)
- Proficiency across MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
- Ability to create systems that improve efficiency and internal controls
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational/communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality
- CPA preferred
