Terramac is looking for a Staff Accountant at our Sugar Grove, IL location. Under general direction, the Staff Accountant performs professional accounting work, contributes to the overall productivity of day-to-day operations, and assists with managing the accuracy of financial records of multiple companies/divisions.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the month-end close process by reconciling general ledger accounts, proposing adjusting journal entries, and generating financial statements of multiple companies.
• Assist with monthly forecasted financial statements and the annual budgeting process
• Analyses of the balance sheet, income statement, and budget-to-actual variances.
• Maintain and reconcile both fixed assets and rental equipment activity.
• Inventory and WIP responsibilities include daily reports to GL reconciliation, equipment cost rollups, and work order analysis, including cost accuracy and labor efficiency.
• Process the day-to-day general ledger transactions and activity, cash, and expenses.
• Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
• Business partner and resource to all departments and personnel.
• Perform special projects and analysis as required.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a similar accounting role in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Self-motivated attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity.
• Team player with a flexible personality and adaptability to a changing landscape.
• Hardworking, motivated and results-oriented mindset.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask projects.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
