Job Title: Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. All Things Accounting:

   • Manage and oversee a broad range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
   • Handle day-to-day financial transactions and maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

2. Data Entry into Point of Rental System:

   • Perform manual data entry into the Point of Rental system with precision and efficiency.
   • Maintain a thorough understanding of the system to optimize its use for accurate financial reporting.

3. End of Month Closeouts:

   • Execute end-of-month closeouts, reconciling accounts and ensuring financial statements reflect accurate information.
   • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making.

4. Payroll Processing:

   • Process payroll for 17 personnel, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
   • Stay informed about payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

5. Accounts Payable (A/P) & Accounts Receivable (A/R):

   • Manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
   • Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and handle customer invoicing.

6. Sales Tax Reporting:

   • Prepare and submit sales tax reports in compliance with applicable regulations.
   • Stay current with changes in sales tax laws and regulations.

7. Quarterly Reports:

   • Generate quarterly reports to provide insights into the financial health of the organization.
   • Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to multitask and independently manage all aspects of the accounting department.
• Proficiency in Point of Rental system is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• General knowledge of trucks and equipment is ideal.
