We are looking for an entry level Staff Accountant to join our team and grow within our accounting department. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail/task oriented, collaborative and big picture mindset.
The Staff Accountant is responsible to contribute to the overall operation of the accounting department by helping the company be fully aware of its financial condition. A successful candidate will be process driven, well organized, detail and control oriented. Compliance to company policies and procedures is basic mandate of this role.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Create and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded, as assigned
- Assist in the maintenance of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assist with reviewing and uploading of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed, as assigned
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly accounting closing
- Assist with other accounting projects, as assigned
- Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers, as assigned
- Manages chart of account balances and reconciles any differences.
- Maintains balance sheet reconciliations every month
- Reconciles intercompany accounts and coordinates monthly confirmations with international entities.
- Create and post journal entries for accrued expenses
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly Local Reporting Package
- Create Interim Financial reports on a monthly basis per GAAP and IFRS
- Update Bond Schedule
- Assist with limited Treasury functions such as AP checks, Wire Transfers and the Cash Model as needed as a backup
Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years of experience in general accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient with ERP systems, including Microsoft Office
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to pay attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to changes.
- Must be able to multi-task.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
