Boater's World is searching for an amazing Staff Accountant for the Bradenton, FL dealership.
The Staff Accountant serves an important role in ensuring the Organization's accounts payables and sales deals are accurately and efficiently processed. This role provides significant support to the Accounting Manager and dealership, alike. From bank and vendor reconciliations to filing, this is a fast-paced position that requires the holder to be accurate, efficient, and creative at the same time.
Primary duties and responsibilities, not limited to:
Creates various reports for use by accounting, management, and other constituents
Reconciles bank statements and vendor invoices
Reconciles cash drawers for retail facility
Enters payable transactions in Lightspeed and/or Great Plains
Prepares check runs
Assist with sales contracts and deals, as required
Creates journal entries for inter-company transactions
Maintain appropriate office supply levels in office and dealership
Compare price and quantity received on purchase orders to manufacturer invoices
Safeguards sensitive Company and employee data
Assist with month end Balance Sheet reviews for a 5 day close.
Maintains Work Papers

Qualifications
Accounting degree (Highly preferred)
Previous experience and/or training in accounts payable
Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity
Proven ability to appropriately solve complex problems with minimal supervisory input
Basic ability in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word, specifically)
Ability to work independently
Previous experience using CDK Lightspeed, Microsoft Great Plains, or other ERP
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background, MVR, credit, and drug screen
