Key Responsibilities:
- Safely guide guests on scenic horseback rides, creating memorable moments in the stunning Mackinac Island setting.
- Assist with the daily care of horses, ensuring their well-being, grooming, feeding, and health checks.
- Provide friendly and informative narration during rides, sharing the island's history and natural beauty.
- Maintain clean and organized stables and equipment, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Collaborate with the equestrian team to coordinate rides and activities, ensuring seamless operations.
- Uphold Grand Hotel's commitment to exceptional guest service, exceeding expectations at every opportunity.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of guests, colleagues, and our beloved horses.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering camaraderie and shared success.
- Previous experience working with horses, including handling, riding, and care.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and entertain guests.
- Physical fitness and stamina to work outdoors and lift heavy objects.
- Reliable and team-oriented attitude, ready to contribute to a collaborative environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
