Stable Hand

Duties:

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the stable area
- Assist with feeding and watering the horses
- Clean stalls and remove manure
- Groom and bathe horses as needed
- Assist with exercising and training horses
- Assist with general maintenance tasks, such as repairing fences and maintaining equipment
- Operate heavy equipment for tasks such as moving hay bales or cleaning the barn
- Use hand tools and power tools for various tasks around the stable
- Assist with planting, watering, and maintaining the garden and greenhouse

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with horses is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of horse care and handling techniques
- Mechanical knowledge for operating heavy equipment and using power tools
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills to interact with other staff members and horse owners
- Basic math skills for measuring feed portions and calculating medication dosages

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
