The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) student intern will join the designated Social Skills Building Network (SSBN) group for a 5 to 6-week rotation (depending on holidays). During this time, the intern will observe the group and its members. The intern may participate in any group activities such as team building or stress reduction strategies. The intern may be asked to help by participating in role plays or skits with the group members. The intern can expect to provide individual help to group members as needed, and as requested by the members, or the group facilitators. The intern will create and present a team-building activity to the group after their rotation, as part of their school requirements for internship.
This is an unpaid internship opportunity. Applicants must be receiving academic credit or fulfilling school internship or certificate program requirements.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or status as a Vietnam or disabled veteran. YAI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
