SRM E-C Test Helper

Description:
The SRM E/C Test Helper will operate and assist with the functions of Eddy Current check devices for continuous operation in accordance with factory policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are the same as the conditions provided in the pipe manufacturing industry. Working environment temperature is in parallel with weather conditions. It requires working in dusty,noisy and greasy environments. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
1. Qualifications:
1.1. A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
1.2. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
1.3. Experience with operating automated equipment preferred.
1.4. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools and hand-held measurement devices.
1.5. Ability to work in harmony with coworkers.
1.6. Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time and weekends when necessary.
2. Responsibilities:
2.1. Responsible for Eddy Current Test machine set-up during size changeovers.
2.2. Ensure the E/C Check parameters conform to the quality requirement on the work order.
2.3. Read work orders and quality requirement to set up specifications and information.
2.4. Following to keep/preparing the spare coils.
2.5. Maintain a good machinery condition by observing machine operations; detecting machinery malfunctions and make required corrections.
2.6. Keeping the production parameter settings within the MES system.
2.7. Communicating and working together with the workstation operators.
2.8. Reject non-conforming products and give feedback other workstation for solving problems.
2.9. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
2.10. Employee must follow the 5S implementation procedure.
2.11. Communicating to Supervisor and Engineer any problems with material and equipment.
3. Activities:
3.1. Inspecting pipe in accordance to ASTM and or Standard Operating Procedure.
3.2. Doing EC Calibration on-time and convenient.
3.3. Employee must report to his immediate supervisor and Engineer for briefing on daily tasks.
3.4. Provide and assist with good maintenance on the equipment he/she is operating.
3.5. This position may require operating Forklift and Overhead Crane.
3.6. Keeping the working environment clean and tidy.
3.7. Check that all machinery is properly serviced before starting up and during shift.
3.8. Assists in repair and replacement of equipment during maintenance shutdowns.
3.9. Communicate with crew to achieve a quality product.
3.10.Assist in changeovers and maintenance.
3.11. Other duties as assigned.
4. Authority and Obligation:
4.1. This position has the authority to stop all SRM pipeline operation at any time that is deemed necessary for reasons of safety, quality, or priority.
