Immediate opening for a Sr. UAV Electrical Engineerin Tampa, FL who possesses:

• 8+ years with Electrical Engineering experience, experience with aviation highly preferred
• Extensive experience with designing PCB layouts and writing code for microprocessors
• Experienced writing scripts in Python, C coding is a plus, and electrical design software (AutoCAD and SolidWorks)
• Ability to obtain a TS / SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
• PE certification is preferred

FULL DESCRIPTION:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Design, develop, and test embedded electrical systems for aerospace applications
• Proficient in circuit design with knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, video image processing, battery technology, motor controllers, and power distribution
• Selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability and determines design approaches and parameters
• Works with avionics, embedded systems, and Radio Frequency (RF) links. Supports Flight Test operations, as needed
• Develop and maintain electrical control systems, including wiring diagrams and schematics
• Analyze and interpret technical data, such as specifications, blueprints, and schematics, to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance
• Plan and oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff as needed
• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability and performance
• Stay current with new technologies, trends, and best practices in Electrical Engineering
• Other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of common industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)
• Familiarity with battery-powered UAVs
• 9-12+ years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations, including NEC, UL, and CE
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain\/maintain a TS\/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
• Prior to the background check being conducted, the applicant will be required to complete disclosure and authorization forms authorizing the company to conduct a background check

• Prior Employment History

Salary Range: $150k-$180k/yr
