Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Tools Engineer to join our team! We are looking for a dynamic person with subject matter expertise with Jira Administration, Atlassian tools, Jama and good understanding of software End to End testing processes.
Responsibilities
As a Tools admin you will be responsible for the day to day management and maintenance of a production Jira instance of ~1000 users. Additionally, you will assist with automated system end to end testing with JIRA Structure hierarchy. Jira is currently utilized for end to end automated test plan implementation/enhancements/maintenance via JIRA structures hierarchy and workstreams. (includes manual and automated processes). Ability to obtain deep knowledge in the custom test driven development which leverages JIRA structure via 3 workstreams is a plus:

Qualifications/Required Skills:
Ability to interact with the business and technical teams to gather requirements, finalize and obtain sign-off from the stakeholders and support the technical teams during the entire lifecycle of the project
Ensure all application functionalities designed are implemented and delivered within the timelines
Track and manage progress of work, manage escalations and ensure the delivery of the project within cost and timelines defined
Strong experience of working on Agile projects and familiar with agile tools (JIRA mandatory) and processes
Ability to produce reports and track progress of the team and other reporting needs on the project
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Admin JIRA instance on daily basis
Install, configure, test, manage plug-ins
Using Jira REST APIs, develop one-off solutions for integration with other tools, automate manual processes, data migration routines and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes.
Hands-on experience using JIRA REST APIs for integration with other tools like Jenkins
Manage and update software and licenses
Manage user permissions and access requests to projects
Maintain/Enhance testing hierarchy and JIRA components
Maintain/Enhance results dashboard view of testing results
Ability to work with APIs and downstream systems that need access to test hierarchy and JIRA external systems data
Automate testing components results and post within structures hierarchy within JIRA structures hierarchy
Test driven development knowledge
Tools: JIRA hierarchy structures for system testing / TestRails
Background on Jira administration & configuration
System settings, user and group management, project configuration, Issue types, workflows, etc.
Maintain JIRA instance and day to day resolutions of JIRA tickets
JIRA Admin also include responsibilities
Customization of workflows , fields , screens , permissions , notifications and issue type schemes.
Setup authentication and authorization systems
Maintaining the complete JIRA instance in an efficient way so that it can be able to integrate with other systems
Performance enhancements
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Should be good at taking ownership, ability to prioritize workload and executing on daily tasks.
Should be able to handle complex issues and be able to simplify your recommendations to understandable solutions
Experience with Jama software is a plus
Strong DevOps skillset is a plus

Hours ** Must be willing to work US/CA working hours (9am PST-6pm PST) with some after hours coverage. **
