Summary
We have a current opportunity for a “Sr Supply Chain Manager” located at our facility in Goleta, CA. In this role you will be responsible for strategic or tactical purchasing of materials. They control inventory by identifying how much is reserved at each location and when to use it. Work with business development on up front project costs. Analyze operational performance and resolve issues that arise along the way with vendors or suppliers if necessary to ensure quality standards stay high throughout each operation, including shipping.
Responsibilities
- Create the company’s Supply Chain strategy
- Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
- Create, evaluate, and report on KPIs
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
- Support programs with procurement and planning requirements
- Maintain Supply Chain inventory and records
- Train and guide employees within the Supply Chain group
- Find cost-effective solutions for Supply Chain processes
- Resolve issues such as delays in delivery, parts quality, and logistics
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of shipping and receiving, material control and planning
- Ensure Supply Chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
- Occasional domestic and international travel to suppliers and other Redwire locations
Ideal Experience
- Bachelors degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree as a Supply Chain, material control, logistics or procurement manager or similar field
- Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Working experience in an ERP/MRP system
- Experience in materials management
- Previous project management experience
- US Citizenship required

Pay Range
$140,000 – $175,000
How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
