Job Responsibilities
Processes paperwork for newly hired student notetakers. Enters and updates student notetaker information into the Department of Access Services access services database system (ASDS). Maintains updates in ASDS and removes inactive or terminated notetakers. Processes all notetaker hire and termination paperwork. Maintains ASDS, Kronos, Oracle and the notetaker master database. Maintains NTPUNCH email folder to receive time keeping information from students and updates Kronos and ASDS to accurately reflect timekeeping and class information. Monitors, verifies, and updates all notetaker time keeping information into Kronos for students. Ensures work hours match Kronos hours daily, and signs off on Kronos biweekly. Checks ASDS scanLog for missing notes. Contacts appropriate student(s) and alerts Coordinators of ongoing problems. Adjusts slots to accurately reflect class need. Acts as point of contact for notetaking and updates ASDS slots to accurately reflect canceled classes or slots when notetaking is not needed. Monitor and report non NYS Labor Law compliance related to student timekeeping to Coordinator and Manager. Tracks training and RIT Talent Roadmap information for notetakers. Maintains a system of recording keeping for notetaking files that need to be maintained such as Kronos, time reporting, etc. Updates and maintains all share drive files, maintaining a system for keeping legal files as required by institute and NYS labor laws. This position provides administrative support to the notetaking team, which consists of two Notetaker Coordinators. This team hires and assigns student notetakers who provide approximately 4,000 hours of notetaking to NTID deaf and hard-of-hearing students each year.
