General Role Overview:

Sr. Specialist of Parts Serviceability & Master File will be responsible for determining service assemblies, subassemblies, and replacement parts.  This includes to supersessions and oversight and maintenance of records for all parts from that manufacturer, including all changes, additions, and deletions since the last update.

The successful candidate will be support for service centers and mobile technicians with technical part inquiries and verify specifications. Experience with parts catalogs, CAD drawings and service manuals is essential for this position. This position will work with Service Engineering to support product recalls and campaigns with new countermeasure parts.

Will work closely with stakeholders in Service Operations, Service Engineering, Campaign and Campaign/Recall Management to help support essential field service and ensure customer safety and satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of service and parts operations and the ability to distill information and communicate in a clear manner.

A passion for the latest EV technologies with proven experience delivering successful parts catalog oversight with another OEM. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech and customer obsessed environment with a diverse set of stakeholders in multiple geographic locations and adaptability to change is a must.

Nature of Work:

  • Develop and maintain databases supporting the parts Masterfile, supersessions the development and daily support of current information to the parts catalog team.

  • Work from EBOM to determine serviceability of assemblies, subassemblies, and service parts.

  • Field and analyze inquiries related to parts quality, fit, function and technical specifications.

  • Work with Service Operations, Service Engineering to resolve inquiries from service centers and mobile technicians.

  • Conduct investigations into parts quality issues; may involve quarantine of bad stock and return to vendor when necessary.

  • Design and build scalable reports to monitor critical metrics, highlight areas of improvement, and influence operational strategy for position.

  • Coordinate the development of necessary documents to track case load, parts quality concerns and recall / campaign parts support.

  • Work closely with internal teams and service providers to optimize parts data flow and analyze data as necessary.

  • Project trends in parts failures using data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, etc.) to make recommendations to leadership.

  • Perform ad hoc data analysis and provide efficient and accurate analytical support for on-the-spot business inquiries and adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three - five years of OEM parts or service experience working with parts inventory or entry level mechanical work.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience. Preferably in Automotive Technology, Engineering or Business Administration or relevant field.

  • Three years or more experience managing databases.

  • Experience with SAP CATMAN / Hana and Siemens Team Center/Rapid Authoring a plus but not required.

  • Experience reading and interpreting CAD drawings a plus but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies:

  • Understanding of service parts operations, preferably in an automotive or OEM environment.

  • Strong planning, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships.

  • Effective in handling multiple priorities, organizing workload, and meeting deadlines. 

  • Ability to work without direct supervision, an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency.

  • Willingness to take ownership of jobs and work independently beyond assigned position to successfully complete projects from initiation to completion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Project Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.  Jira and Confluence.

  • Fluent spoken and written English, multi-language preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required.

  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as needed to meet deadlines and goals, headquarters in California.

  • Exposed to service workshop environment that requires lifting moderate weights, standing for long hours, wearing personal protective equipment, etc.  

Expected Salary Range: $75,000.000 - $145,000.00 a year.

Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
