About the role:
Gartner is looking for a well-rounded and skilled senior Software Engineer to join the Finance Technologies Team. You will be part of highly motivated agile team driven by innovation and collaboration. As part of the team, you will work in on-prem/cloud environment databases supporting legacy applications and new application integration/transformation.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with internal business units and project teams on business requirements and accordingly design the solution
- Build solution(s) by leverage existing and new tools
- Write optimized Oracle PL/ SQL code
- Handle common database procedures and objects
- Support Production issues and Month-end Activities
What you will need:
- Strong IT professional with 5-7 yrs of experience in software development technology. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high on ownership and accountability
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
- Experience in Optimizing large, complex SQL statements
- Able to analyze existing data (Oracle data modeling) and code (Oracle PL/SQL) to understand legacy systems
- Experience in troubleshooting common database issues
- Experience with version control tools (Git)
- Strong desire to improve skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies
Who you are:
- Graduate/Post graduate in BE/Btech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment
- Owns success - Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of the solutions
- Strong desire to improve upon their skills in tools and technologies

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 100,000 USD - 149,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
