About the Role:

Mass Virtual is looking for a passionate “hands-on” Web Application Development Manager who is interested in working with next-generation virtual reality training solutions. This is a senior Full Stack Development role that will build and lead Mass Virtual’s Web Application development team by setting technology standards and processes, building high-quality software applications, and managing our web technology stack.

What you’ll be doing:

· Lead a full stack development team to design, build, and maintain a web technology stack that enables us to deliver seamless, personalized experiences across our digital properties

· Produce code that is clear and structured, that coheres to coding standards, considering security, performance, and maintenance requirements of Mass Virtual customers

· Drive our technical roadmap in a way that balances performance and operational excellence with innovation and business needs

· Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight and architectural guidance across systems and applications

· Drive the UI/UX roadmap by managing the development of high-performing Vue.js screens utilizing the latest frameworks and libraries with an emphasis on design patterns, reusability, code quality, and secure coding practices

· Manage software development, unit testing, and progress against project schedules

What you need to succeed:

· 7+ years in web operations, web development, product management

· 5+ year experience with MongoDB, Vue3.js and Node.js

· 5+ year experience with Express.js or Nest.js

· 5+ year experience with RESTful Web Services, APIs, and asynchronous data flow

· 4+ years of front-end web development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

· Strong knowledge of the modern web environment – from the presentation tier through web servers and caching, reasonable knowledge of database development

· Solid knowledge and experience working with a variety of programming languages both client and server side, software development processes and Agile methodologies

· Experience in building web-based enterprise software products from the ground up to production demonstrating successful delivery of software applications and systems by meeting agreed upon delivery commitments and quality levels

· Strong adherence to security and performance best practices

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills

· Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar degree or comparable experience

· Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
