Brady offers a hybrid work option that allows for both personal flexibility and in person collaboration to deliver the greatest outcomes for our people and customers. This option is a mix of in the office and one or two offsite days which are pre-determined based on role and function.
What We Need:
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and writing high-quality code to support the development of Brady’s software products. The Senior Software Engineer will work in a small focused team, creating interconnected desktop apps to drive Brady’s line of printing solutions. The engineer is expected to participate in the designing of solutions that meet customer needs, write clear and concise code, and create documentation outlining code design and functionality. All engineers are required to follow Brady’s development process, which includes our agile development process. Individuals will be responsible for managing the development of features as part of a development team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Utilize object-oriented coding techniques, follow coding standards, and follow standard development best practices
- Manage the design and architecture of modules in the overall product
- Work with Brady’s user experience and product management teams to define and develop features
- Deliver quality code by getting peer feedback through code reviews and following best practices established by the team
- Direct internal and external resources in software development to deliver assigned modules.
- Provide time estimates for assigned deliverables
- Setup and use software code debuggers and profiling tools

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
- Minimum of Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Proficient with C# programming language
- Proficient in .NET or .NET Core
- Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Demonstrated knowledge of architecture design concepts
Desired Characteristics: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in at least one UI technology: WPF, Xamarin, XAML
- Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
- Knowledge of C++ programming a plus
- Experience with Git source control
- Knowledge of CI/CD or DevOps
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
