Salary(Pay Range: $24.75/hr - $31.25/hr DOE)
*This position is 100% Remote (local candidates perferred)*
Purpose of Position:
Review Group applications by the Carrier’s guidelines and submit by the applicable deadlines. Follow up with Broker or Sales Office for pending items. Position requires mandatory overtime during months of heavy volume.
Essential Functions:
- Provide Best in Class Service to internal and external customers
- Subject matter expert. Assist with creating/updating SOPs as requested
- Exceed monthly underwriting metrics by maintaining a minimum quality score of 90%
- Assist with UAT of underwriting system changes before they are implemented
- Review and complete cases with a sense of urgency and accuracy
- Attention to detail and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Enter case into carrier’s online tool or excel spreadsheet, if applicable
- Meet turn time requirements on each case and the processing of pending items
- Assist Underwriting Leadership with Pre-Sale Questions or projects as needed
- On-site or remote regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
- Performs other business tasks or functions as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Attention to Detail and have Sense of Urgency
- Excellent Time Management, Organization Skills and Problem Solving Skills
- Strong Customer Service Skills: telephone, e-mail and in person
- Computer literate: adapt to carrier software and internal software
- 10 key, 45 WPM, Word and Excel
- Highly, motivated team player
- Excellent grammar and spelling
- Ability to interface with Brokers, Carriers and Clients in a professional manner
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diplomaor equivalent required
- College preferred or equivalent work experience
- Health Insurance knowledge is helpful
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasional standing and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
