Are you a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for sales? The Embassy Suites Phoenix Downtown North Hotel invites you to be a part of our dedicated team as a Senior Sales Manager.
What you will be doing
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for soliciting and responding to new and existing business to purchase rooms, food & beverage, meeting space and other services from the hotel. This individual will represent the hotel professionally with potential clients and manage strong customer relationships. This role will also perform other services/duties as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Additional Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Conduct sales calls/ site visits with existing and potential clients.
- Prepare proposals & contracts.
- Maintain excellent hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and achieve revenue goals.
- Collaborate with Sales team to host functions, participate in/conduct sales blitzes.
- Active participation with local chamber and networking groups to uncover business.
- Some travel may be required.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
- Three to five years of hotel Group sales experience or employment in a related position or field.
- Hilton Experience, a Plus.
- Group Sales Experience, Required.
- Relevant Brand Systems Experience, a Plus.
- Previous Hotel Sales experience in full service hotel. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive sales with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals is required
- Basic knowledge of the hotel structure/layout and how all departments interact
- Extensive knowledge of market and related meeting industry
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Self-motivated, competitive nature
- Effective time management skills
