JOB DESCRIPTION
Vertafore is seeking an ever curious and knowledge hungry Sr. Revenue Operations Analyst to enable sales and marketing success through data driven decisions and insights. The Sr. Revenue Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Sales & Marketing Analytics Manager in the daily data aggregation, data health, analysis and reporting used to power the sales and marketing organizations. This role will partner closely with sales leadership, finance, and other functional groups to ensure all sales and marketing insights are accurate, timely, as well as ensure quick and well-informed business decisions can be made at all levels of the department. The ideal candidate will have experience with structuring, aggregating, analyzing, and providing real time data within the Sales and Marketing functions of an organization. Additionally, excellent verbal communication skills, the ability to communicate complex analytical topics in a clean & simple way to multiple stakeholders and senior leadership, and strong interpersonal skills are required to perform the role.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Serve as primary strategic planning resource for managers in sales and marketing on all analytics needs and participate in regular meetings with managers to discuss sales trends and make recommendations on sales and marketing priorities.
- Gather, consolidate, and analyze large data sets to provide deep insights and understanding of the sales and marketing segments using historical, current and predictive metrics to identify trends, assess progress toward strategic goals, and forecast budget attainment.
- Assist in defining key business metrics and producing comprehensive weekly reporting package including forecast, pipeline analysis, sales productivity assessment, and marketing effectiveness.
- Communicate analytical insights to a variety of stakeholders across multiple channels (e.g. in person, email, videoconference, and executive presentations) and explain factors that result in variance to target over time.
- Work with sales managers to increase forecast accuracy and improve pipeline integrity.
- Own the evaluation, creation, and maintenance of sales territories to support bookings growth and success across the sales organization.
- Assist the Sales and Marketing Analytics Manager in defining and prioritizing the analytics roadmap, including systems development, collection and maintenance of underlying data sources and process evolution to support current and future reporting needs.
- Develop and document best practices that align data quality and analytics with sales strategies and company initiatives and collaborate with sales operations and technical teams to implement critical improvements to processes and systems.
- Complete deliverables on time and mistake free without managerial oversight.
- Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with sales and marketing leadership, the CMO and his/her managers, and other support teams.
- Assist in other facets of sales and marketing planning, inclusive of quota-setting, headcount analysis, business planning, budget analysis, and analysis across business units.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in sales and marketing reporting and analysis
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills including problem identification, analysis, action planning, and execution
- Hands-on experience sourcing data from Salesforce.com, Tableau, Marketo, Netsuite, Google Analytics
- 2-3 years’ experience with data visualization and dashboard building in Salesforce
- 2-3 years’ experience with business intelligence or analytics platforms strongly preferred.
- Comfortable aggregating and working with large data sets from multiple sources
- Exceptionally strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and initiative
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operations goals
- Ability to work in fast pace and high-growth environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities, and be willing to “roll-up your sleeves” to drive organizational change
