You will be responsible to define and own the Software Controls offering for Industrial Energy Products.
You will be a key member of the Industrial Product Management team focusing on B2B Energy Products. The team is responsible for Industrial Energy Products (Powerpack, Megapack, others) that serve three core customer segments: Commercial & Industrial, Microgrids and Utility-scale. You will be a key technical member of a cross-functional team that focuses on defining our Software Controls product offerings across global markets, while supporting the ongoing development of technical content for global sales, finance, and engineering teams to support the rapid growth of the Energy Products organization.
As a member of the Product Management team, you will be required to wear many hats and adapt to a fast-paced work environment. This is a multi-faceted role where strong knowledge of engineering topics – electrical/power systems engineering, software development – is a must, and software product management experience is highly desired. What You’ll Do
- Leverage market research, competitive intelligence and product discovery to define shared product vision and strategy for Software Controls solutions
- Create business cases and product requirements to inform controls feature priority and roadmap
- Define and commercialize controls offerings into sellable products to ensure successful product launches, working closely with cross-functional teams across engineering and commercial organizations
- Develop and drive implementation of technical content (technical documentation, application notes, marketing collateral) to provide internal and external parties with all information pertinent to our controls offering
- Act as primary stakeholder for education of controls features for internal teams and customers
- Support global sales teams by managing controls compliance workstreams required to open new markets
- Define and track metrics for measuring success of controls features deployed at customer projects
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, or Power Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ year(s) of experience in software product management or similar; experience with controls solutions for energy storage, hybrid power plants or microgrids is highly desired
- Experience with Utilities, IPPs, and large-scale energy developers and their needs for operating assets on the grid
- Deep understanding and working experience in software development processes, tools, and best practices
- An overall rock-solid blend of engineering and commercial expertise. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel, across many teams, in a short timeframe, with demonstrated ability to pivot rapidly
- Deep passion for changing the way we use energy on the electric grid. A bias for action to propose changes as needed based on industry knowledge, voice of customer, techno-economic analysis, and business or mission value.

Expected Compensation
$92,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
