Job Title: Sr. Power Apps Developer
Job Location: New York, NY 10041
Job Type: 5 Months Contract
Work Schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $75.00-$85.00/ per hour
• Work under the direction of a Project Manager.
• Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance specialists and application developers during the design,
development, testing, and implementation of applications.
• Develop, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Power Apps.
• Integrate GIS mapping software into the PowerApps build.
• Integrate with Azure SSO and other Azure services.
• Develop solutions that are responsive and accessible across various devices and screen sizes to ensure a
consistent experience for all users.
• Design GUI using Canvas that has a stellar user experience and accessibility best practices.
• Consume XML, text, and/or JSON files.
• Create design artifacts and deliverables such as use case diagrams, application architecture, class/sequence
diagrams, and high-level/detailed design documentation.
• Work with relational databases, such as Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of Power Apps security capabilities, and role-based authorization
configuration.
• Understand high-level application architecture/design, network design, performance constraints, and security
frameworks.
• Accurately estimate the time required to complete development tasks.
• Develop business processes and approval flows.
• Participate in and contribute to formal/informal technical reviews and presentations.
• Research, present, and/or make recommendations on technical issues.
• Explore new ideas and initiatives that encourage innovation.
• Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical, and non-technical colleagues and
stakeholders.
• Azure Cloud Server or AWS
• Contribute to and support the roll-out strategy.
• Collaborate with the client's data team to align on reporting and data analytics currently being developed in
Power BI.
• Assist with securely publishing the Power BI dashboards and setting up user permissions.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
· Minimum of 7 years' experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data
· structures, data manipulation, databases, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user
· documentation, software conversions; environments include but are not limited to mainframe, midrange, personal computers, laptop; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program
· specifications and the implementation of software solutions
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a technology-related field or other degree preferred.
• Advanced-level certifications and/or training in application development.
• Power Platform Certification(s)
• 7+ years of experience as an MS Power Apps Developer
• Adept at embedding Power Apps in SharePoint and custom applications.
• Real world programming experience in C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, OData, .NET, and/or Angular.
• Demonstrable integration experience with various data sources, including OData service, creating views in Data
Verse, Azure SQL DB, and Common Data Services.
• Well versed with Power Platform CoE, specifically in the role of an Administrator.
• Expertise in building large-scale information systems.
• Previously developed a software that had a copious amount of legal requirements.
• Experience with using UML/Rational tools and/or other design tools.
• Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Management.
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence and Decision Support Systems.
• General understanding of Agile software development lifecycle.
• Prior experience in federal/state/local government projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
