Arrow Electronics is looking for an experienced Oracle database, system, ERP EBS Applications and SQL performance tuning expert with an ability to identify, analyze performance issues and provide solutions, workarounds to resolve system performance issues in a fast paced Oracle EBS R12.2 with 50TB of data in a Multinode EBS app tiers and high availability multi node cluster RAC environment. Should have the ability to work with customer business, development, and support teams to identify the issue and work independently in analyzing and providing recommendations.
This role will focus on Oracle EBS and Databases, but the candidate should also expect to be working with many peripheral application which include: Oracle Demantra, MiddleTier fusion weblogic servers, Oracle EXADATA, ZDLRA, Oracle SSO/OID/OAM, SOA, AventX, Goldengate, Docview, QAS, UDP, Salesworkbench, APRO, Appworx and Config Snapshot. Strong analytical and communication skills will be needed for the ideal candidate to be successful in this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oracle Database performance tuner should have hand-on experience in Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c , Oracle Exadata, Oracle Golden Gate with Oracle ERP EBS Applications R12.1.3/12.2.x, Middle Tier Apps WebLogic and Oracle Demantra.
• Expert level knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 Concurrent Manager tuning, Weblogic admin server tuning, Java tuning, Oracle Forms UI tuning is required
• Expert level knowledge: General RDBMS, RAC, ASM, Database tuning, SQL tuning, Database Statistics, Database upgrades
• Experience working with OEM 11g/12c/13c.
• Ability to diagnose the performance issues from SQL to Application to Database to SQL to System to Network to Storage
• Using your expert level SQL tuning skill and experience, expert level understanding of Oracle database architecture, memory structures and kernel level tuning
• Utilizing expert knowledge in Optimizer, ASH and AWR objects
• Creating and executing performance testing strategy is a plus
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at DB & at session /program/Application level
• Should have experience & ability to work with various teams to resolve performance issues (development, storage administrators, network administrators, system administrators and business users)
• Review physical structures of database, review performance, maintenance and utilities associated with database structure
• Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with already established data models and naming conventions.
• Working with:  ASM, Grid Infrastructure, RMAN / ZDLRA, working in a Unix shell, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle database compliance framework, vi editor, working with Oracle Databases, Oracle EBS on AIX and RedHat/Oracle Linux
• Writing SQL queries, PLSQLs, analyzing query performance using query plans and tuning query performance
• Effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology.
• Build a complete plan of how to test the whole database load and get the before and after results, be able to mitigate any performance related issues after the upgrade
• Be able to grasp the problem at hand and recognize appropriate approach, tools, and technologies to solve it.
• Working effectively with application teams, understanding Customer business drivers, and executing on multiple performance tuning projects

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years as a DBA , 5+ Years as Oracle performance tuning ( DB system and SQL tuning ) with Oracle EBS R12 applications.
• Experience working in production environments requiring 99. 99% availability
• Previous experience and a strong technical background deploying, administrating, tuning, monitoring, and maintaining database technologies including but not limited to Oracle 10g, 11g/12c/18c/19c and Oracle EBS R12 applications in Unix AIX/Linux environment.
• Solid experience in database tuning, design, security, backup, recovery, and archival concepts and procedures.
• Exposure to the Cloud or virtualized Application environments a plus.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and operations
• Excellent communication skills are a requirement including the ability to effectively communicate with technical, non-technical employees and vendors.
• Strong problem solving, testing, and network troubleshooting skills.
• Should have "independently" been able to identify and resolve database performance issues
• Experience with tight deadlines while working under pressure
• Business awareness and understanding of project requirements
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team atmosphere
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
