POSITION SUMMARY

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of Network Security and software administration including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software, and office systems. SME of all security for our global enterprise operations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.

Knowledge: Acquired through education, certifications, training, experience.

  • Vulnerability Management software. (Tenable preferred)
  • Virus and Malware defense systems, including mobile devices. (Sophos software experience preferred).
  • Network design and understanding of protocols (SDWan, firewalls, switches, AP’s, VPN).
  • Management of email phishing, training, and testing software. (KnowBe4 software)
  • Backup systems and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously. (SmartSheet or MS Project exp. preferred).
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Results orientated attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, group policies; experience using PowerShell preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Deployment, Microsoft 365 deployments.

Level of Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of professional Network Security experience.

Experience in a large enterprise environment. (current environment 2500+)

Must have Network/server experience in addition to Security.

Level of Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Systems Administration or related field or equivalent experience.

CISSP preferred.

Travel: <10%

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Create and maintain Global network and security documentation.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise network and security KPI’s for senior leadership.
  • Network administration (including maintenance, backup, security management, user account management, internet access, and applications support).
  • Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software, and applications.
  • Performs network scans for security issues and identify network vulnerability.
  • Performs security needs analysis.
  • Global roll out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
  • Resolve Network Security issues in a timely manner.
  • Assists in planning, implementing, and supporting the network and computing infrastructure plan.
  • Installation and upgrade of firmware and other software.
  • Cybersecurity Risk remediation and planning in accordance to NIST standards.
