As a successful candidate, you will:
The Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operations Center will be responsible for leading the team responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the security and integrity of City of Hope's information assets.
Cyber Defense Operations Leadership:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Cyber Defense Operations Center (CDOC), ensuring the 24/7 monitoring and response to security incidents.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the CDOC.
- Team Management and Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals within the CDOC.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure the team remains at the forefront of cybersecurity practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cyber threat hunting
- Incident response
- Governance of Managed Detection and Response team
- Coordination with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes
- Requirements management for system reporting coordinating with Cyber engineering
- Management of outside threat feeds and relationships (e.g. H-ISAC)
- Red/Blue/Purple team engagements Break-the-glass vulnerability management program
- Other duties as assigned.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in information security in a large healthcare provider environment with revenues exceeding $10 billion.
- Three (3) years of experience leading and managing a Cyber Defense Operations Center or a similar information security operations team with a minimum span of control of at least eight members.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence, and incident response best practices.
- Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.
