Our client located in Harwood Heights, IL is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team!

Our client is a leading manufacturing company that specializes in precision machining for various industries. They are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of the manufacturing department, leading CNC processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Performance and Troubleshooting:
- Ensure optimal performance of machines in the manufacturing department.
- Troubleshoot issues promptly, both with the parts and the machinery.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, including Continuous Improvement, process enhancement, and quoting parts.
Design and Review:
- Design new fixtures and review/upgrade existing designs.
- Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and junior Manufacturing Engineers.
- Work closely with other departments to enhance overall efficiency.
CNC Focus:
- Mainly focus on CNC side of the process.
- Program CNC machines from scratch using CAM software (Esprit, Mastercam, or equivalent).
- Proficient in CNC Lathe operations, with experience in milling as a plus.
Leadership and Support:
- Lead the charge for new piece runs.
- Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to machinists.
- Oversee the whole manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency from start to finish.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years of experience in a machining environment (5+ years considered).
- Proficient in CNC machining, with the ability to create parts from scratch.
- Experience with CNC Lathe operations.
- Programming CNC Machines using CAM software (Esprit, Mastercam, or equivalent).
- Proficient in GD experience in highly precise industries.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Understanding of secondary processing (heat treating, plating, painting, anodizing, or NDT).
- Experience overseeing the entire manufacturing process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Understanding of CNC tooling.
- Created or made improvements to the manufacturing process.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry.
- CAD and ERP experience (open to any software).
