Role Summary:
As a Sr. Manager– Chassis, you will own part of the team ensuring Chassis System are able to be manufactured to high levels of quality and performance on both the R1 and RPV programs. This will be achieved through strong leadership and building relationships with both the Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics engineering team but also manufacturing, purchasing, quality, test and development and all other engineering departments.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead an engineering team responsible for ensuring Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics Systems are efficiently integrated into manufacturing.
  • Manage resources and set priorities to resolve manufacturing issues and support production initiatives.
  • Represent the Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics teams at the Normal manufacturing sight.
  • Build effective relationships with leaders in Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design team.
  • Build a cohesive and focused team through effective communication and leadership.
  • Be fully responsible for individual contributor feedback, team development, growth and appraisal process.
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience within the automotive industry, ideally OEM or Tier 1
  • Over 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity
  • Proven knowledge of automotive design and development processes to successfully develop and launch a vehicle into production.
  • Good working knowledge of all Chassis systems within a vehicle platform
  • Ability to report to senior management and report accurate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier processes, manufacturing methods and quality assurance standards.
