Sr. Java Developer

The deadline for RTR's, Resume Submittals, and Skills Tables is 3/8.
This requisition will feature first round interviews via Teams. In order to deter a fake candidate scam the candidate must present a valid photo ID to the camera at the beginning of the interview.
***As of now this is 99% remote, but it could turn out to be hybrid in the near future.***
***The candidate must physically report to the 5th floor of The Keystone Building in Harrisburg, PA in order for first day processing, possible badging (this may take a few days for completion) and to pick up commonwealth-issued equipment.***
***Client prefers candidates local to the Harrisburg, PA Area.***
***Work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM (1 hour lunch) (40 hours per week).***

PennDOT seeks a senior-level resource in development of an enterprise IT solution to cater the user authorization management needs of various business applications.

Key Responsibilities:
o Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment.
o Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
o Take direction from solution architects and leads on development activities.
o Analyzes the functional and technical impact of changes and makes sound recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the product.
o Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves issues, risks, action items affecting own work and work of the Application Team.
o Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
o Publishes clear, concise, and detailed technical documentation.
o Participate in problem solving with other team members in the project.
o Assist other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding.
o Meeting deadlines on fast-paced deliverables.

Technology Stack: Azure, AKS, DevOps, Oracle, Java, SpringBoot, VeuJS with interaction between other enterprise solutions.

Experience Needed:
Must have
o Education in accredited institutions Required 4 years (Desired 6 years).
o Demonstrated experience with the projects' technology stack mentioned above.
o Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
o Designing integrations between enterprise applications and internal / external solutions.
o IT Developer experience - Required 10 years.
o Experience with J2EE applications development Required 10 years.
o Experience with Spring Boot Required 5 years.
o Experience in web services design & development (SOAP/XML and REST/JSON) for enterprise Required 10 years.
o Experience in one or more JavaScript based frontend frameworks like ReactJs, VueJs, NodeJs Required 5 years.
o Experience with relational database development using SQL Required 10 years.

Preferred:
o An understanding of Micro-services Architecture.
o Experience in developing dynamic application with externalized, configuration driven content & business logic.
o Experience in spring-ldap and sprint-tx frameworks.
o Experience in developing with VueJS.
o Experience with Azure DevOps.
