ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
   Designs, implements, documents, and maintains security system infrastructure.
   Performs advanced troubleshooting for networking, application, security system, and related system problems.
   Gathers detailed problem information, assesses the problem, determines the resources needed, and leads the problem resolution.
   Aids in design, deployment, and administration of Active Directory infrastructure, file, web, SharePoint, database access rights, vulnerability scanning, IDS/IPS, web proxy filters, firewalls, and other security systems.  
   Plans, designs, implements, documents, and maintains disaster recovery and risk mitigation strategies.
   Performs security software maintenance.
   Works with the CIO and/or CISO on confidential security investigations.
   Performs advanced programming and code audit reviews.
   Provides administration, documentation, and implementation expertise for data security best practices.
   Assists in maintaining the security awareness program.
   Supports internal and external customers using appropriate email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions.
   Develops automated scripts to audit data in different databases and provides solutions to security related issues.
   Mentors less experienced staff in data security technologies and practices.
   Serves as an expert resource on data security matters.
   Facilitates team and project activities.
   Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Manage multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and eight plus (8+) years of experience with data networking (Ethernet and IP), software development, Windows OS, databases, firewall administration, and identity/authentication systems (Active Directory) in a mid to large-sized environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CISSP, CEH, or LPT certification preferred. Experience with installation and management of security on windows based operating systems including base OS, IIS, RADIUS services, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, remote access, and certificate services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
   Advanced knowledge of cloud security and associate tools.
   Advanced knowledge of computer security including knowledge of vulnerability and penetration testing, compliance testing, and disaster recovery planning.
   Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory including users, groups, servers, group policy, DNS, DHCP, and replication.
   Advanced knowledge of Ethernet and IP networking including TCP/IP, well known protocols, forward and reverse application proxies, Wi-Fi, and IP routing. 
   Advanced knowledge and implementation of data forensics.
   Advanced knowledge of implementation, deployment, and administration of certificates and Public Key Infrastructure.
   Advanced knowledge of firewall and intrusion prevention system installation and rule administration.
   Advanced knowledge of RADIUS and LDAP authentication with firewalls, wireless, and 802.1x networks.
   Advanced knowledge of database security and use of Microsoft SQL. 
   Advanced knowledge of programming including shell scripting and complied languages (i.e., .NET, Transact SQL).
   Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  
   Excellent communication skills. 
   Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
   Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at once. 
   Ability to read and author Cisco access lists. 
   Ability to author SQL queries.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work requires lifting objects up to 10lbs. Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed.
