Job Description
Robert Half is seeking a Senior Auditor for one of our clients. In this position you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of operations and compliance with regulatory standards. You will conduct comprehensive internal audits, assess risks, and provide valuable insights to enhance internal control processes. This position reports directly to the VP of Auditing and involves collaboration with various departments to maintain a strong internal control environment.
Responsibilities:
- Internal Audits: Plan, execute, and manage internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial, IT, and operational controls.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and control weaknesses, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement improvements in internal controls and operational efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather information, address concerns, and provide guidance on control-related matters.
- Training and Development: Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks. Provide training to staff on internal control procedures as needed.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in internal auditing, with a focus on financial institutions or credit unions.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in audit tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
