Job description

HYBRID ELIGIBILITY

This position works a hybrid schedule, spending time remotely and in the office in Tioga, ND. The current hybrid schedule provides flexibility to collaborate in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays and work from home Mondays and Fridays. With our 9/80 feature you get time off every other Friday when you work at least 80 hours over the preceding nine days.

 

POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Senior I & E operates and maintains the delivery of production targets through competent operation and maintenance of the power generation, and electrical distribution. The Senior I & E is self-motivated, managed and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship to assist with the delivery of production targets and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. The Senior I & E technician also provides key oversight and operational experience to the instrumentation and electrical technicians.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First line troubleshooting of instrumentation, electrical, automation and control network equipment (PLC faults, loss of comms), in addition captures technical history in SAP for problem identified.
  • Maintains (inspection & calibration) and repairs instrumentation, electrical, automation and control equipment such as PLC's , panelviews, RTU equipment, radio, fiber and wire Ethernet SCADA systems, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters along with gas monitoring systems
  • Assist in configuration of new installations/handover (controllers, PLCs)
  • Supporting maintenance contractors performing routine work
  • Provide scope and input to repair plans
  • Assist the Reliability Engineer in the creation of maintenance plan job standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Industrial / Oilfield experience
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft)
  • Understanding of instrumentation, electrical, PLC & industrial control networks
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and practices

 

Education, Training & Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Electrical or instrumentation degree preferred
  • Electrical license preferred (required for certain tasks)
