The Role
Deckers Brands is seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Identity Governance Specialist to join our dynamic Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and managing our Identity Governance systems, ensuring Deckers’ security, compliance, and efficient user access processes.

Your Impact
The role of Sr. Identity Governance Specialist will focus on these core capabilities:
- Identity Management
- Administer user identity lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.
- Implement and maintain identity provisioning and de-provisioning workflows.
- Access Control
- Design and enforce access control policies based on the principle of least privilege.
- Manage and update role-based access control (RBAC) structures.
- Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies related to identity and access management.
- Collaborate with Deckers’ Internal Audit team to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
- Incident Response
- Participate in incident response activities related to identity and access management incidents.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents involving unauthorized access or identity compromise.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management
- Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to assess and manage the identity and access practices of third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with contractual security obligations related to Identity Governance.
- Reporting and Monitoring
- Generate regular reports on identity and access management metrics, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement continuous monitoring to detect and respond to unauthorized access or suspicious activities.

The successful candidate for this role will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Meticulous detail when executing your work with a strong appetite for learning new technologies and staying current with dynamic security and compliance trends. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity that constantly compels you to ask, “Why?” Finally, you will bring a fantastic attitude of empathy and openness as you work with the Information Security team and our business partners.
We’d love to hear from people with
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience with three (3) years as an Identity Governance Administrator or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of identity and access management principles, practices, and technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIST, PCI DSS).
- Experience with identity and access management tools and platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Active Directory).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA) will be an added advantage.

$115,000 - $125,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
