Job Description
Summary: Seeking a Sr. Design Engineer with specialized experience in hydraulic systems for development and project engineering.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Minimum of five years' experience in construction, mining, or off-highway equipment
Two to three years of experience in selecting hydraulic system components
Proficiency in reading hydraulic schematics
Preferred Skills:
Modeling experience (SolidEdge, Creo, UG NX)
Experience with hydraulic hose and tube routing
Knowledge of hydraulic hose and tube manufacturing
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Responsibilities:
Engineer projects focusing on hydraulic system design
Develop new products or expand current lines with technical objectives and specifications
Perform design studies to determine the best approach to design tasks as per Project Engineering Manager's instructions
Create or modify hydraulic system schematics for various projects
Select appropriate hydraulic system components ensuring compliance with industry standards
Conduct calculations for component requirements within hydraulic systems
Prepare layouts and detailed drawings for assemblies and sub-assemblies of hydraulic systems
Lead and participate in design reviews; make necessary changes following these sessions
Maintain project documentation up-to-date
Liaise with Purchasing regarding component specifications, quality, cost, and availability
Manage design costs and ensure manufacturability of designs
Provide accurate engineering information across departments
Suggest updates to engineering standards and procedures based on current guidelines
Utilize existing designs and standards as a foundation for developing new systems
Update previous designs to align with new guidelines and standards
Work closely with Manufacturing to resolve build issues and troubleshoot system problems
Offer Engineering support to Product Support & Marketing teams; occasional travel may be required
Note: Must pass a background check including drug testing (THC included). Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders. The interview process will be conducted in person. The position is for a 6-month Temp-to-perm contract starting ASAP.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
