Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position include lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to or over 50 lbs.; standing or walking with objects up to 25 lbs.; sitting for extended periods of time; repetitive motions; occasional exposure to loud noises, hazardous chemicals and fumes, and/or extreme temperatures; and occasional (<10% of the time) job-related travel.

Shift:

This position is Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays 8:00am- 5pm. (24 hours a week)

Job Summary:

The Senior Healthcare Facilities Planner reports to the Director of Facilities Planning and Development and is accountable for assuring successful planning, implementation and management of assigned healthcare projects on and off campus according to defined scope and within established budgets. Project implementation goals focus on supporting clinical, administrative, and education space requirements to relocate or renovate the built environment to support operational needs. This position works closely with UK HealthCare Administration and UK Facilities Management teams to ensure that resources are acquired, leveraged, and managed effectively.
There is an IEBC being considered.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

The ideal candidate will operate effectively within a matrixed organization; have excellent project management skills; have the ability to collaborate with others toward Enterprise goals, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrate strong leadership skills; be well organized and have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with co-workers in a supportive team environment; and have outstanding computer skills (including Microsoft Office), exceptional customer service and active listening skills, and a thorough understanding of facilities management.

No

Preferred Education/Experience:

Masters degree and at least 10 years of health care facility planning experience, including developing and coordinating functional programs for expansion, relocation, or remodeling projects. Extensive experience in process improvement and project management is highly preferred. Certification with ACHA, CHFM, NCIDQ, or Professional Engineer preferred. Licenses in architecture or engineering are preferred.
