Positions in this function research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data. Provides management with findings and conclusions. Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders on variable projects as a Functional SME. Identifies potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies. Provides data in support of actuarial, financial and utilization analyses.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs data analytics in support of trend identification, initiative, program development, appropriate use of analytic tools, and validation through collaboration with other teams/departments
• Produce financials reporting and summarize findings to internal and external stakeholders
• Provide claims, premium, capitation and membership data and analysis in support of Underwriting, Actuarial and utilization analyses
• Lead projects as a functional SME to completion by partnering with other resources/stakeholders and contributing to modeling and financial reports
• Develop pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends through analytics and strategy
• Be a resource to senior leadership in support of projects through collaboration and insightful analytics
• Be a Company thought leader utilizing broad business approach strategy
• Be responsible for task management, deliverables, and client relations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of work experience in a corporate setting
• Intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of work experience in the Healthcare-business industry
• 1+ years in relationship-data based visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Intermediate level proficiency with SQL
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, intellectual curiosity
