Job Overview

The Senior Manager "Project Management" will play a pivotal role in heading the successful implementation of a new PROJECT MANAGEMENT software across our organization. This position requires a seasoned PROJECT MANAGEMENT professional with a proven track record of overseeing complex Software Implementation projects, driving process improvement initiatives, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. 

 

In addition, the Senior Manager Project Management shall drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve the "On Time +On Cost + On Quality (OT+OC+OQ)" performance. The PROJECT MANAGEMENT monthly scorecard shall be delivered, review processes coordinated, and PROJECT MANAGEMENT certifications and trainings be aligned. 

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines for the implementation of the new PROJECT MANAGEMENT software.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and dependencies to ensure successful execution within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and stop-gaps that may impact the project timeline or quality of deliverables.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the various business units as well as with TE Connectivity, including IT, operations, finance, and project teams, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate regular communication and engagement sessions to solicit feedback, address concerns, and promote stakeholder buy-in throughout the implementation process.

 

Requirements Analysis and Configuration:

  • Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions across the BU globally to identify business needs, user preferences, and system functionalities required to support PROJECT MANAGEMENT activities.
  • Work closely with the vendor or internal IT team to configure the PROJECT MANAGEMENT software according to organizational requirements and best practices.

 

Training and Change Management:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and materials to equip end-users with the knowledge and skills required to effectively utilize the new PROJECT MANAGEMENT software.
  • Implement change management strategies to facilitate user adoption, address resistance to change, and drive organizational readiness for the new system.
Quality Assurance and Performance Monitoring:
  • Establish robust quality assurance processes to validate PROJECT MANAGEMENT system functionality, data integrity, and user experience throughout the Software Implementation lifecycle.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the new PROJECT MANAGEMENT software and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.

 

Documentation and Knowledge Management:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of project requirements, design specifications, test plans, and training materials to support ongoing system maintenance and user support activities.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and create repositories of best practices and lessons learned from the Software Implementation project.

 

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and methodologies to optimize On Time + On Cost + On Quality (OT+OC+OQ) performance across all projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency gains, and cost savings through data analysis, benchmarking, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Work with with cross-functional teams to prioritize improvement initiatives and drive sustainable change throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Process Review and Standardization:

  • Conduct regular reviews of PROJECT MANAGEMENT processes, procedures, and workflows across the BU to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and areas for standardization and improvement.
  • Align with project teams and functional leaders to streamline processes, eliminate redundant activities, and promote best practices across the organization.

 

Certification and Training alignment:

  • Evaluate the competency framework and skill requirements for PROJECT MANAGEMENT roles within the organization and align certification programs and training initiatives accordingly.
  • Partner with training providers and certification bodies to develop customized training curricula, workshops, and certification pathways tailored to the organization's needs and objectives.
     
What your background should look like:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, information technology, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • Proven experience (>5 years) managing complex Software Implementation projects, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of PROJECT MANAGEMENT methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and resolve conflicts in a collaborative manner.
  • Proficiency in PROJECT MANAGEMENT software tools (e.g.: Planisware, Planview, Microsoft Project) and familiarity with PROJECT MANAGEMENTSoftware Implementation best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead global cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support project activities and engage with stakeholders across various locations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity with resilience and resourcefulness.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $141,840 - $212,760 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
