This team is working on a Surgery Scheduling Manager application, which will assist clinical users in hospitals and surgery centers with scheduling. Integrated with multiple systems such as Cerner, Athena, Epic, SailPoint, etc. Development efforts are fully in the cloud (GCP). This team is expanding the application to new ministries and adding new features and requirements.
Senior level developer, with an emphasis on Front End web development. Drive development for modules being built from scratch within the application (ex: building a live chat features within the application). Collaborate with architects and other software engineers. Well defined test environment – 100% code coverage. Will be responsible for writing unit tests for every feature (using Jest & Enzyme).
Top Skills:
•5+ years development experience, senior level.
•React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, REST API’s
•CI/CD – Jenkins (familiarity, how to deploy applications)
•Unit testing (Jest, Enzyme, etc.)
•Agile
Preferred:
•Cloud Native experience – ability to deploy apps (GCP, Azure, AWS)
•Full stack – Java, Spring Boot (familiarity)
•MongoDB (FE team uses MongoDB to create mock APIs)
Nice to Have:
•Experience using real time communication protocols/framework
Responsibilities:
•Develop high quality cloud-native web applications using JavaScript/Typescript in React
•Break down complex requirements into independent coding tasks and strategies
•Create unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software
•Participate in design and code reviews
•Work with other teams (i.e. Product, UI/UX, etc.) to ensure delivered code meets specifications based on functional/technical specifications
•Participate in Agile routines and ceremonies; daily standups, sprint planning, sprint demos/retrospectives
Required Experience:
•5+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment
•Strong Computer Science fundamentals in OOAD, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
•Strong experience with Typescript
•Strong understanding of front-end frameworks, especially React
•Experience using RESTful APIs
•Experience securing a web application
•Experience with unit and integration tests
•Strong understanding of professional software engineering best practices for the full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, deployment tools such as CI/CD, testing, and operations.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Openness to new ideas and an unceasing desire to learn new things
•Outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive mindset, and a collaborative spirit are a must have
Desired Experience:
•Experience with TDD and BDD
•Experience working with cloud-native, scalable, and highly available distributed systems
•Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (Mongo, Redis, etc.),
•Experience with Atlassian tools: JIRA, Confluence
