Job description

The Senior Business Systems Analyst, Finance and Accounting, will be accountable for the build and implementation of solutions for strategic innovation and transformation initiatives, which will integrate and enhance Penumbra's business functionality, overall performance, and maintain a high degree of user satisfaction. 
What You'll
    • Design, configure, and implement financial systems and tools, ensuring strong business alignment and systems integration.
    • Manage, configure and administer additional applications in the financial ecosystem such as but not limited to SAP, AcceLIM, Anaplan, Blackline, Coupa, Concur, etc. 
    • Perform configurations within the SAP financial modules, working across all Finance and Accounting sub-modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cost Accounting, etc.), and support financial integration from processes & designs coming from in Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing, Distribution, etc.
    • Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional IT teams including middleware, developers, Operational Change Management and Software Validation Teams, establishing highly 
    • effective working relationships with key business partners through clean execution and open, honest, direct communication.
    • Design and implementation of user stories.
    • Provide strong hands-on technical expertise; analyze business requirements; identify risks; and collaborate with other IT functional and technical disciplines.
    • Educate and mentor other business users in application fundamentals.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to further improve user experiences, enterprise integration, performance and scalability. *
    • Participate in the development of IT related policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Work closely with business teams and the software vendors to resolve software defects, addressing root causes.
    • Participate on the build team as a configuration developer.
    • Follow agreed-upon project methodology to define scope, develop, test, deploy solutions and transition to run.
    • Support, optimize and maintain IT Financial systems, implementing solutions for process effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Support the definition and design of financial systems and process controls.
    • Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
    • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
    • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.  
    • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related filed with 8+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 10+ years hands-on configuration experience with at least 4 areas within SAP FI/CO: GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, tax integrations, product costing, COPA, revenue recognition (RAR), banking, group reporting and consolidation, FSCM.
    • At least one full implementation of ERP Financials; strong experience with SAP S/4 preferred. 
    • Hands-on experience in configuration development within SAP financial systems, specifically in FI/CO modules and sub-modules as well as in-depth business knowledge; experience in solution designing
    • Understanding of cash management, local tax laws, treasury processes, financial consolidations, international rollout/support across NA/EMEA/APAC
    • Must be a motivated self-starter, fast learner, able to identify and complete required work activities to meet business deadlines
    • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently throughout the business and technical teams; demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
    • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously
Working Conditions
    • General office environment. Business travel from 0% - 10%. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer, sitting for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

      Starting Base Salary is $143,629/year - $180,587/year.       
    • Individual compensation will vary over time-based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location and shift.
