A cloud-based wireless water leak detection and notification system. Also, work with the IoT/network equipment that enables the cloud-based system. Maintain positive customer relationships to help follow sales to customers across several locations. Most of the work (60%) will be performed at customer locations, typically on-site and frequently alone.
This position requires regular overnight travel (i.e., stay overnight at a hotel) up to 10 nights per month. Some of this will involve air travel, usually during evenings or weekends. Occasionally, work will be required at customer locations during nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include:
- Install and commission The Detection Group's cloud-based water leak detection and notification system, based on guidance from the Field Service Manager
- Guide and supervise Field Service Technicians and Field Service Engineers when present at a customer location.
- Identify opportunities to sell to customers additional IoT water leak detection system equipment to improve system coverage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking, RF, and other technical issues, working with The Detection Group's headquarters based technical support teams, and with customer engineering, IT, and operations staff.
- Assist Field Service Technicians and Field Service Engineers in resolving difficult networking, RF, and other technical issues, working with The Detection Group's product management and HQ engineering teams.
- Communicate clearly and frequently with sales, product management and senior management related to job/customer/prospect status.

Experience and Qualifications - Required
- Ability to communicate clearly via phone, email, and in-person; ability to work on a laptop computer and tablet; ability to mentor junior staff, including Field Service Technicians and Field Service Engineers
- Detail-oriented and punctual
- Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines and to track progress against task completion using online or web-based systems in a multitasking environment.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate, troubleshoot, triage, and resolve networking, RF, IP, and other technical issues to work with headquarters-based technical support, engineering teams, and customer engineering staff.
- Demonstrated ability to patiently yet persistently deal with nuanced technical issues and unforeseen obstacles at customer locations while interacting in real-time with customer engineers and other staff
- Experience with or ability to learn basic internetworking/Wi-Fi/IP and RF technical concepts related to configuring and provisioning Wi-Fi and IP networks.
- Previous experience configuring and provisioning RF, LAN, and WAN-based systems at customer locations - e.g., wireless communication systems, IoT systems, Wi-Fi systems, telecommunication systems
- Previous experience using RF and Wi-Fi network diagnostic tools and testing devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficiency with web-based applications on a computer and as apps on a mobile device. E.g., CRM systems, scheduling and job tracking systems, expense reporting systems, ERP systems, and billing systems.
- Technical studies and at least an AA-level college degree or professional certificate earned post-high school, configuring and provisioning cloud, LAN, WAN, RF, or telecommunications systems.
- Clean driving record with valid driver's license - without restrictions other than corrective lenses
- Ownership of a personal vehicle for driving to customer locations (mileage reimbursement provided according to IRS guidelines)
- Available to travel for Trident System installations for periods equal to 10 working days at a time.
- Resides in a centrally based location close to TDG's customer base and within 25 miles on an international airport.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications, data science, computer science, or information technology
- Ability to write or speak Spanish
- Previous experience configuring, provisioning, and installing IoT or enterprise networking systems in large office buildings and working with building engineers and other staff.
- Previous experience supervising or managing Field Service Technicians and/or Field Service Engineers working at customer locations.
- Bachelors' degree in engineering, telecommunications, data science, computer science, or information technology
- Ability to write or speak Spanish.
