Position Specific Description
The Power Delivery Business Unit is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team in Jupiter, FL. This position performs transmission planning studies to assess reliability and develop transmission projects for the 20-year horizon. The Engineer will perform load flow, short-circuit, and stability analysis. You will be required to collaborate with other departments to develop economical and effective solutions. The selected candidate will also help to evaluate new technologies and potential applications in FPL's grid. This position will also require a thorough knowledge of NERC compliance requirements and familiarity with FERC rules to mitigate reliability risks. The Engineer will also review emerging trends and lessons learned from other regions to ensure that FPL implement industry best practices.

• Formulates researches, and develops improvement measures
• Works with other departments within the organization to establish customer requirements and project costs
• Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
• Ability to work extended hours
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
• Bachelor's - Engineering
• Experience:5+ years
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
• Master's Degree
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
• Six Sigma Master Black Belt
