Responsible for the development of cannulas for short- and long-term implantation. Highly competent and knowledgeable of the design control process. Works on complex projects where solutions to problems require ingenuity and creativity.

• Lead the technical design and development of next generation cannulas from early prototyping to manufacturing and ensure products achieve best-in-class performance
• Conducts conceptual design studies using SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS Fluid Simulation
• Writes test protocols, designs test fixtures, executes studies, and prepares engineering reports
• Assists in the manufacturing of prototypes
• Provides training, technical advice and guidance to junior engineers.

The ideal candidate must have:

• BS in Engineering or related discipline and 8+ years of related experience; or MS in Engineering with 6+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the medical device or related regulated industry
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally occasionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, MS Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks

Salary range: $110K - $135K
