Position Overview:

As a Senior Engineer in IT Asset Management, you'll be at the forefront of our client's efforts to maintain an accurate software and license asset inventory and ensure compliance. Your expertise in ServiceNow IT Asset Management, SAM Pro, and AWS/Azure workloads will be instrumental in driving company success. If you're a proactive problem solver with advanced data analysis and reporting skills, this is the role for you.


Key Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow IT Asset Management, with a strong focus on software Asset Management.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAM Pro.
  • 1-2 years of SAM experience with AWS or Azure workloads and/or containers.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills on the ServiceNow platform and related tools.
  • Understanding of the ServiceNow tables used to support SAM operations (discovery, counting, reconciliation, etc).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the software asset lifecycle, IT Asset Management policies, SAM procedures, the data model and functionality of the CMDB as it relates to software Asset Management tools within ServiceNow
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop sustainable and ad-hoc reporting in various platforms to address immediate questions from management and to provide ongoing management and governance tools. Needs to be data and metrics driven
  • Build, maintain, and support programs designed to keep an accurate inventory ofsoftware and license assets throughout the enterprise from procurement to retirement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement around accessibility and usability ofSAM data and drive those improvements
  • Prepare reports for use by ICE management and by external vendors/auditors
  • Highly focused on software/license compliance, working to ensure our top vendors remain audit-ready
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to Asset Management policies, standards and practices for effective asset life-cycle management
  • Provide training and support to users and stakeholders as it relates to the SAM process and tools
  • Serve as a point of contact for the SAM process(es) and integrations
