Job description

Summary: Responsible for administering the Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS) from loan origination through servicing. Work closely with all internal partners including Origination, Loan Servicing, Accounting, Compliance, Information Security and IT. Provide advanced support to all users and assist with high level tasks.
Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Execute Encompass® 360 enhancements, including business process analysis, modeling and documentation.
  • Serve as second and third level support for questions and issue resolution.
  • Design, document, configure, test and deploy approved change requests and enhancements to system functionality.
  • Manage integration of third-party vendors and services.
  • Create custom fields, documents, and data entry forms.
  • Maintain users, roles, profiles, security settings and loan access settings.
  • Maintain Loan Setup settings as applicable to ongoing business needs.
  • Maintain complete document library, build custom documents as needed and maintain eFolder settings to ensure preservation of a complete paperless environment with requisite document retention.
  • Assist Compliance and Information Security in ensuring Encompass is functioning consistently in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations relating to mortgage lending and information security.
  • Research changes in upcoming versions of Encompass and other integrated applications.
  • Provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical documentation on all process, feature and workflow changes for proper documentation for communication to end-users.
  • Create and maintain report library and build custom reports as necessary for business groups.
  • Prepare reporting for regulatory examination process including electronic submission of data to regulatory agencies.
  • Assist end-users with their daily questions, concerns and proper usage of the system.
  • Participate in continued mortgage compliance training including, but not limited to: Dodd-Frank Act, ATR/QM Rules, Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA-Regulation C), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA-Regulation B), Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Construction Disbursement and Lien Laws in Utah.
  • Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Keep informed of industry trends.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science or five years’ equivalent work experience in the mortgage banking industry.
  • Five years’ experience as a LOS Administrator with Encompass 360 Banker Edition or equivalent mortgage banking Loan Origination System.
  • Experience designing and deploying solutions using Ellie Mae’s Encompass® 360 Loan Origination System or equivalent mortgage banking LOS.
  • Experience with project management and ticketing software.

  • Ability to accurately and quickly complete standard mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to use a calculator, computer and applicable software programs including various lending programs.
  • Ability to use internet browsers and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel and Visio.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Visual Basic/VB.Net syntax.
