Sr. Electrochemical Development Engineer

ICM is seeking an experienced Electrochemical Development Engineer to lead research and development in the areas of electrochemical design and pilot plant construction and operation. Responsibilities include electrochemical reactor development from cell architecture design to life cycle testing and scaling prototypes from bench to field scale. The candidate will lead plant-level design to deliver successful, on-time delivery of projects, including efforts towards code compliance. The ideal candidate seeks project ownership and desires growing a technology from prototype to functional pilot plant. The position will also collaborate closely with a team of dedicated individuals who are impact-driven and results-focused.

Required/Preferred
Excellent technical and analytical skills related to pilot plant development, chemical process design, kinetic and thermodynamic modeling, design of experiments (DOE), and scaleup methods.
Required
Proven experience in collaborating with third-party vendors to advance design and implementation of scalable processes.

Ability to create laboratory protocols, weekly reports, presentations, and publications.

Demonstrated communication skills to explain procedures and impart technical and safety information to others in an understandable manner.

Ability to work independently, organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects in a detail-oriented, timely manner.

Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience in leading research and development or technical strategy in process or energy.

Master's degree in chemical engineering, materials engineering, or a closely related field and 10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
