- This position would reside in Oregon.
- Responsible for the organization and management of system-wide Patient Financial Services activities. Develops and enhances productive working relationships among other departments primarily within Finance, Administration, Patient Access Services and secondarily within all divisions. Establishes and enhances focus on the company`s accomplishment of its financial goals and promotes continuous process improvement through customer awareness, fact-based decision making, systems thinking and teamwork.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Regional Business Office is responsible for the accurate and timely follow- up on claims for services provided at all lines of business in all service locations.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Administration with emphasis in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent directly related Revenue Cycle experience required.
- Five (5) years experience in a healthcare patient financial services leadership role required.
- Experience in the following required:
- Healthcare collection/billing practices, computer systems, basic finance and statistics.
- Functioning easily in a variety of hospital patient accounting and billing systems (Epic, DSS, FISS, electronic billing, denial management and contract management).
- Examining patient accounts, detecting and resolving problems related to accounts receivables and preparing and administering policies, procedures and budgets.
- Credit/collection functions, financial analysis and third party payer procedures.
- Computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access).
- Organizational structure, workflow and process improvement.
