Overview
Seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Leader with a strong background and experience in full-Stack Engineering, development environments, layers and platforms. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving high velocity products, platforms, and business objectives - and has competencies in technical, strategic, and interpersonal skills. As a Full Stack Engineering Leader, you will lead a team of skilled professionals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and performant technical solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Envision and define "Full Stack" in the context of Southern Glazer's business needs and functional / non-functional requirements
- Plan and deploy full-Stack Engineering capacity to projects according to the needs of products, platforms, and business priorities
- Lead custom development efforts across user experience, business services, data services, and integration components ensuring scalability and performance
- Keep updated with, and implement, best practices and emerging technologies in full-stack development.
- Evaluate, mentor, and guide full-stack engineers within the chapter
- Maintain practices and standards to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable engineering practices
- Daily management, mentoring, and task delegation of full-stack engineers to ensure alignment with project goals and efficient development
- Establish best practices for collaborating with UX/UI designers , and front-end specialists to ensure a holistic and efficient dev process
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure reliability and validity of components across the stack
- Provide input into the digital engineering, encompassing the full breadth of full-stack development
- Jointly update stakeholders with POs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and formal education in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degreed)
- 10+ years related experience in technology management, customer relationship management and staff management
- Expertise in full-stack development, encompassing user experience, data, business and integration layers
- In-depth knowledge of software engineering, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable system designs
- Ability to align technical efforts with business goals and priorities
- Skilled in tech stack decision-making that ensures scalability and long-term maintainability
- Strong leadership and team management skills, especially with leading full-stack teams
- Effective communication and negotiation capabilities
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving acumen
- Understanding of team growth and retention opportunities
