JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the SVP, Finance, the Director, FP&A is responsible for corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and supporting the organization’s short and long-term financial strategy. The role leads the Company’s annual budget and periodic forecast update processes, developing and generating financial management reporting, analyzing financial trends, calculating the financial effect of potential business decisions, and advising business leaders of their impact.
This position is expected to provide financial and strategic business leadership, communicate effectively with senior management, and manage and develop the FP&A team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Oversee consolidation of management financials for executive leadership, including monthly financial reports, monthly rolling revenue forecasts, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Lead development and execution of annual budgets and recurring forecasts, focusing on underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics, and sensitivity analyses
  • Manage the calendar and team to ensure the planning and analytics processes are completed accurately and on time each cycle. Interact with various departments to obtain information needed for the planning process and analysis of results
  • Manage the monthly analysis of financial results, ensuring results are condensed into a coherent story with clear and easy-to-understand actionable conclusions
  • Partner with Operations team to regularly project and report on capacity to help the organization meet its future requirements in the most efficient manner
  • Develop customer profitability analyses and utilize conclusions to assist in the pricing and contracting processes
  • Partner with senior management to review and analyze all capital spending projects, and plan and monitor capital spending
  • Understand financial operations of the business and educate others inside and outside the Finance group about the financial performance of their respective area.
  • Partner with Accounting on process improvements and projects as required
  • Prepare management presentation materials and other formal financial materials. Develop clear and informative methods of presenting financial data to senior management
  • Lead ad-hoc analytical projects and strategic initiatives
  • Focus and drive key performance indicators as well as ongoing process improvement opportunities, both within our Finance team as well as across the organization
  • Any other tasks as assigned by CFO and/or SVP, Finance

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Past focus on Healthcare industry, within HCC Risk Adjustment and Quality (HEDIS & STARS) processes, preferably, but not required
  • Superior strategic and critical thinking
  • Excellent financial modeling skills
  • Able and willing to perform deep dives but never lose the big picture
  • Able to understand the business model of the organization and its link to the strategy
  • Intellectual curiosity and innovative thinking
  • Able to analyze, organize, synthetize and articulate complex financial information
  • Understanding, yet persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage internal relationships and be collaborative and team oriented while getting results
  • Open and receptive to appropriate change; possess the ability to manage and shift priorities as required, and to incorporate new approaches in support of changing organizational needs
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate at all levels of the organization, through excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization
  • Bachelors Degree in a Finance field is required
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience, minimum 5 years managerial experience
