About the Job
- Recruiting -- sourcing, maintaining a pool of candidates for new and vacant practices.
- Coordinates with field teams and OD recruiting to find potential candidates.
- Screening, Interviewing, Compensation discussions and coordination of Legal Contract.
- Applies competency-based OD selection process based on clinical skills, chair-side manner, and the willingness and ability to deliver quality eye care.
- Supports and consults with the Field Management Team on management of ODs in Region.
- Identifies and acts upon opportunities to optimized coverage to meet patient needs and new clinical procedures.
- Responsible for development and execution of onboarding / orientation of new ODs, communication and relationship management.
- Responsible along with the Field Team for OD labor cost and assists with action plans to achieve Company established metrics.
- Strives to achieve goals for OD KPIs such as NPS, Continuity of Care, retinal photos and exam growth and develops action plans for improvement, when necessary.
- Partners with DM to promote co-planning meetings at Practices happen and collaborative action plans are built
- Coaches and develops Field Management Team to aid in the execution of clinical strategies.
- Implements established policies and guidelines for ODs. Make recommendations for policy revisions to CMO
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry Required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Excellent Analytical, Verbal, Presentation, and Written Communication Skills
- Solid MS Office Ability (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of state Optometric regulations
- 5-7 years of at least one of the following:
- Ownership/operation of an optometric practice with demonstrable success
- Multi-unit responsibility for physician, optometric practice, or retail management
- Franchising, subleasing or contracting responsibility for an optical company, ophthalmology group, practice management company or health care/ ophthalmic goods and services franchisor, or similar experience
- Knowledge of current Optometric theory and technology
- Comprehensive knowledge of Practice operations, processes and business implications
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills

- Ability to travel up to 2-3 days/ week for 2-3 weeks per month
